Desire Ouattara is a child of Bolomakoté, the music neighberhood of BoBo-Dioulasso in Burkina Faso. He is the founder of the group and the bands djembéfola solo.

Beginning in the Bara, Désiré rapidly becomes the star of the band that starts a tour in in France in 1996 and 1997.
The multitalented, Desire Ouattara directs and performs a ballet in 1994 for the University of Ouagadougou which won the 2nd place UNESCO Prize.

Combining the teachings of the elder musician Mahama Konate, and his own natural artistic qualities, he presents the band Saramaya with whom he reveals the purpose of the musician: to transmit traditional music in a spirit of openness and enrichment.
